Inventory Stock Transfer

A Stock Transfer can be processed from within the Bindo iOS app or on the Bindo Dashboard ( dashboard.bindo.com).  Please note that Stock Transfers can only be processed within a Chain store.  If you operate multiple locations and you're not sure if you have access to do Stock Transfers please reach out to Bindo Support to make sure your stores are linked with the proper inventory sharing settings.

The below instructions apply to processing a Stock Transfer from the Bindo Dashboard:

Outgoing Transfer

  • Choose the "Outgoing Stock Transfer" button at the bottom to send items to a different location.
  • Select a receiving store from the dropdown
  • Optional – Choose the Receiving / Shipping date
  • Click + Add Items and search for the items needed, and select the quantity for outgoing transfer
  • Optional – add remarks.
  • Save. This will take you back to the stock transfer page.
  • Status of transfer is now “Pending”. This means that the other store will not see the transfer appear yet on their dashboard.

Incoming Transfer

  • Choose the New Incoming Stock Transfer button at the bottom to request items to your location.
  • Select a departing store from the dropdown (if you don’t see it, contact support).

Transfer Statuses

No matter how many stores in a chain, there are only 2 locations involved in any given transfer – the initiating location and the non-initiating location. For clarity below, Store 1 is the initiating location and Store 2 is the non-initiating location.

Edits can be made at any time during any status, from either involved location.

  • Pending: The incoming or outgoing transfer is created in Store 1, but the Store 2 will not see the transfer appear yet on their dashboard. Store 1 can edit the transfer as needed.
  • Submitted: Both stores will now see the transfer listed as Submitted in dashboard.
    • Store 1 can View or Edit (optional).
    • Store 2 will need to Approve the transfer, or make edits as needed first (optional).
  • Approved: Store 2 has viewed (and edited, as needed) the stock transfer. After Store 2 is finished with edits, Store 1 can Mark as Sent.
  • In Transit: Appears in both stores after Store 1 has opted to Mark as Sent. This means the stock has been shipped to Store 2.
    • Store 1 can view or make additional edits.
    • Store 2 can view, make additional edits (for example, if not all stock was received), Mark as Fulfilled, or Cancel the transfer.
  • Fulfilled: The stock has been received by Store 2 and will be added to the inventory stock count. You can still make edits to quantity received after you have fulfilled a transfer.

Change the Status of a Transfer

In the list view, click the orange < on the right side of the transfer.

There may be other options from which to choose, depending on the status of the transfer (see above).

Editing a Transfer

  • Click Edit to go into Edit Mode.
  • Click Save when you are done with the changes, or Cancel to discard any changes.

Partially Fulfill a Transfer

  • Edit the transfer from the In Transit status (see above).
  • Once in Edit Mode, click Update Fulfilled Quantities at the bottom.
  • In the Quantity Received field, type in the quantity received for each line. The transfer will remain in the In Transit status until all quantities are received (or the quantity requested is edited to reflect quantity received).
