Optimizing Your Store's Network Setup for Bindo
There are a few very important considerations for your store’s internet and network to get the most out of our cloud-based system.
It should go without saying that to run your business on a cloud-based system, getting your network properly set up and tested well ahead of time is of utmost importance.
Please take the time to read more about optimizing your network. We’ve included the main points again here:
High-speed internet is a must.
Choose a service that offers speeds of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Choose a robust wi-fi router for your store.
We recommend (and can provide support for) the Apple Airport Extreme router. We do not recommend using the free routers given by your service provider.
Have a backup plan.
To process credit card transactions and edit or sync your store’s data, Bindo POS requires internet service. It’s a good idea to have a mobile hotspot that can provide internet service in case of emergencies. Bindo does allow cash and check transactions without a network connection.
We have customers who use and recommend the hotspots from both FreedomPop and Karma, but there are many others. Be sure to check the coverage map to make sure the hotspot you choose has good coverage in your area.
